Our Mission
In an attempt to bring the UA community together, promote mental health, and financially benefit the Sam Asbury Foundation, members of the University of Alabama Greek Community will be hosting The Fight Against Suicide. This event will feature amateur boxing matches consisting of volunteers from the fraternities on UA campus. Sanctioned by the Alabama Athletic Commission, the event will be managed and supervised by professional referees, coaches, ring physicians, and judges.
Who We Support
The Samuel L. Asbury Foundation was established in 2020 to honor Sam Asbury, who took his own life a few years back. To best honor Sam's legacy, The Samuel L. Asbury Foundation is focused on creating awareness and promoting prevention related to suicide and depression, as well as providing hope to those affected by either of these tragedies.
